Katie & Brian drove up from Jacksonville last weekend to see their nephew. And us, of course.
Uncle Brian entertaining Benjamin. He has obviously had a lot of practice with his sister's kids! Ben had a blast with him...there was much giggling and shrieking.

He loves to scratch the concrete picnic tables with his fingernails. Shiver. Notice that he's wearing clogs - this was an attempt at keeping his socks on. It worked, for the most part...until he figured out how to take off one of his clogs.

This is how we find him after his naps now. And sometimes in the middle of naptime. He was just so excited that Katie & Brian were here that he couldn't sleep!

Aunt Katie & one happy sack of potatoes.I'm always a little concerned that Benjamin will suddenly be scared of people who aren't me or Mike, but it just hasn't happened yet. I don't know if he remembers Katie - she's seen him several times since he was born - but he's pleased as punch to be around her. Now we have to find a time to visit them in Florida!

It makes me so happy and proud to see the way you guy's relate. What a wonderful environment for Benjamin to be raised in. Mom and I are so fortunate to have such a family! We knew we had great daughters, and now to have a grandson like Benjamin, it's almost too good to be true. As icing on the cake, we couldn't hope, nor ask for, better sons-in-law then we have in Brian and Mike! Those two are more our sons! We love and respect all of you so very, very much! Love, Dad
