Yesterday was the ten-month mark. Benjamin celebrated by trying to crawl into the litter box, shortly after the above picture was taken. Today I bought a baby gate for the office, where the litter box is...but Calvin won't jump over it.

He is still "combat crawling," but he he has been going up on his knees and hands and rocking back and forth. Looks like practice for typical crawling.

Mealtimes have been messy and frustrating. I have been giving him a "play" spoon to distract him from the spoon with food on it, which he likes to smack and food goes flying. He loves chewing on the play spoons. I try to give him more appropriate things to chew on, but, you know...

Benjamin loves to play with the giraffe attached to the high chair tray. What you can't see is that he spins the giraffe head around and around. And that's a piece of turkey in his hair. That's where a lot of his food had ended up lately. There, and on his ear.

A little ham eating a little turkey.

The three of us going for a walk on a particularly cold morning. He is wincing because of the sun. I still think he might be part bat. Those striped slippers are much easier to keep on his feet than socks.

Happy in the shade.

Concentrating on his teething biscuit.

He didn't like getting caught in the rain while we were running errands today, but he sure liked finding the umbrella on the living room floor.
He has slept through the night for two nights in a row...here's hoping for one more!

The teething biscuit picture is just so cute...his little hands holding the biscuit just so.
thanks for sharing,

Benjamin seems to have really enjoyed that teething bisuit! He may develop a sweet tooth like his Pap's. Let me know if he pulls a box of Tasty Cake donuts from the shelf when you are shopping. Love and hugs, Mom
