First Concert

Last week while Mike was out of town I took Benjamin to a free outdoor concert provided by the Air Force band. It was great weather, the sun was just setting, and Benjamin got to see a lot of people who were very interested in him.

Hanging out with Joe the sound guy. Joe is no stranger to Benjamin, but Benjamin stares at him this way every time they meet.

Meeting my friend Cheryl for the first time.

Quality time with Mike's new boss, who is also no stranger to Benjamin.

Listening to the beginning of the concert with the boss. Benjamin was paying so much attention to all the people and his new surroundings that I have no idea whether he liked the music or not - it was on the jazz side. He must not have minded it because he sat there quietly for the most part.

His nightly teethbrushing with Daddy. In one hand is Daddy's finger with the toothbrush; in the other hand is his beloved (but blurry) tub toy turtle.

Leaning into the bowl as if he has to go to the spoon to get his oatmeal.

I have to keep this short...I already had one failed attempt at posting this morning because Benjamin wouldn't take his nap. He spent the weekend teething and we're pretty sure he cut the two top front teeth. Then just when I thought he'd get some relief, he showed signs of having a cold yesterday. It was a rough and congested night for Benjamin. It seems like he just had a cold not long ago, but he went to a playgroup last week and it's that time of year for little ones to share germs. He just went down early for his afternoon nap...better get those chores done now while I have the chance.

It's great to see Benjamin interacting with so many people. He seems like he sizes everyone up immediately. How do you brush two teeth? Love, dad

Why do I only recognize 4 people from the band photo?!
