It was finally cool enough in the mornings this week to go on walks around the block. Before this walk, I took the stroller past our front flowerbeds to give Benjamin something new to look at.

And this was his response. He was unimpressed with the overgrown & weedy beds, but he did enjoy the stroll around the neighborhood.

He loves his new toy, the stacking rings. Kinda nice to have a simple toy - so many new toys today have a ton of patterns and colors and make lots of noise. And require batteries.

Speaking of simple toys...he spent several minutes keeping this ball up with both hands and feet. What a monkey.

Here are some pictures from the party we went to last weekend.

The grumpy face is because he just got splashed by some older kids playing nearby.

As the sun went down and it was getting closer to bedtime, Benjamin got cold and fussy so Mike took him out of the pool. He wrapped Benjamin in a burrito with his own towel, and Ben stayed very quiet and content that way for a long time.

Mike did a lot of road trips this week, and Benjamin discovered his luggage while he was packing. Maybe if Benjamin eats the luggage, Daddy will have to stay home.

I don't remember why I sat him on the glider in the nursery, but he was thoroughly amused. He stayed seated like this for about fifteen seconds before wiggling all over the place...

...and he ended up stuck here. Didn't seem to mind, though.
Yesterday was a fussy day, and I couldn't figure out why he was so upset. Then I got a rare look at his top gums and saw several white bumps, all in a row - a bunch of teeth waiting to pop out. The two front ones look like they'll push through any day now. I tried teething tablets, which actually worked this time, and he spent much of the afternoon gnawing on his frozen teething ring and pacifier.

Sarah, As usual, the pictures of Benjamin are adorable, but I really like the little picture of you and Ben that is on the side of your blog. Do you think you can send me a big picture of it? Love and hugs, Mom
I never tire of looking at this blog! To see the love and contentment and happiness on your faces is priceless. It's obvious that Benjamin is a secure little boy (man). It comes from having loving, nurturing parents. Love, Dad
