Usually Benjamin migrates all over the crib overnight and during his naps. But during this nap, he turned himself around and stayed right there...he must have been in a pretty deep sleep. This was supposed to be the end of his nap, but I didn't dare wake him up.

Playing peekaboo with Daddy's uniform hat.

I see you!

After every game of peekaboo, the hat must be eaten. Them's the rules.

Messing around with his pacifier.

Showing his contemplative side.

Fun with cereal puffs. It took him a while to figure out he had one stuck on his chin.

Grabbing two at a time.

After several puffs were eaten or tossed on the floor, we put five more puffs on the tray in front of him. He immediately grabbed all of them in one hand. Sticky little buggers.

One day I had the TV on, and Benjamin grabbed the remote control (one of his FAVORITE toys). He mashed a few buttons, the channels changed, and we ended up on the Public TV station which was showing a cartoon. Then he put the remote control down. I know it was just chance, but it sure seemed like that's what he set out to do!
Sleeping through the night has been hit and miss this week. Unfortunately for Mike, who had to drive six hours by himself to a gig today, last night was a miss - Benjamin got up three times. But we kinda saw it coming. Yesterday we took him to a going-away party for one of Mike's co-workers. The person hosting the party had a pool, so we brought a big floatie for Benjamin, which he loved. I'll be posting pics soon. Anyway, Benjamin had skipped his mini-nap late in the day, and then we had him out an hour past his bedtime. So no big surprise that he got a bad night's sleep.
I've finally gotten him to hold the formula bottle by himself. It took lots and lots of "encouragement" - letting go of the bottle and waiting for him to lift it up, or forcing his hands onto the bottle. He was very, very stubborn about it for a couple of weeks. Soon it will be time to try the sippy cup. I'm considering lining the entire house with plastic sheets. Big messes are coming.

What a little character Benjamin is! It is quite a milestone for him to be holding his own bottle. Time passes so quickly! Love to all, Mom
