Ben turned 4 last week. Since we didn't think having a party 2 days before Christmas would be very successful, and we were barely ready for Christmas itself this year, we'll be doing a party with friends in January. On his actual birthday we did cake and presents with just the four of us.
Ben requested a chocolate cake with blue frosting. This was one of my first attempts at baking a cake from scratch.
We made him open his card first. It was worth his while.
It was an awesome Toy Story-themed card that played a song when opened.
Popping the Trouble bubble. I know he's not old enough to really play the game. He likes the bubble and dice.
Eating the cake with a cheesy smile.
He played with every gift as soon as he finished his three bites of cake. This is Connect 4 Launchers. He bugged me about wanting this thing for the last 2 months. I finally broke down and got it. It was his favorite present.
Yep, they still make Dr. Drill 'n Fill. He's only interested in making the play-dough tongue, doesn't care about the teeth so much yet. We also got him a fireman hat that he's refusing to wear, and a large puzzle map of the USA that was surprisingly well-received. He likes to point to all the states we've been to, and the states where family members live. Nana and Pap-Pap got him a bean bag chair that he likes to fall into.
