Sometimes when he wakes up, Ben throws almost everything out of his crib.

He knows how to work the CD part of my boombox. He really likes opening the CD compartment.

This was the best picture I got of him on the day he turned 17 months. The goofball doesn't fall far from the Daddy tree.

Since he has become obsessed with steps lately (and we have none in our house), I got him a stepstool that will come in handy down the line. He's more interested in the storage cubby.

That's more like it.

He loves Wheat Chex. I was happy that he likes this healthy snack...until I looked at the ingredients and saw that it's full of sugar! Oh, and he likes to put the cereal on the floor, then pick it up and eat it.

He got up on this chair by using his toy container as a step. He did it while I was out of the room...not the safest way to climb, but I had to smile when I saw him sitting here grinning.

Right now we have his high chair beside the kitchen counter, where he can open the utensil drawer. And close it. And open it. He found the box of chopsticks and pulled a pair out. No, he hasn't tried to use them.

I think Ben is a good mix between you and Mike, Sarah. I can't wait to see all of you in July! Love and hugs, Mom
