Thirteen Months Old

Trying to get into a VHS tape. He almost did it.

Since we have too many toys and not enough storage, I bought a toy chest for the nursery. When I started moving toys that were sitting in the living room into the nursery, Benjamin had to play with each one. I'm hoping to rotate the toys that he plays with so he doesn't get overwhelmed or bored.

I usually keep the vacuum cleaner in the hall closet, but I didn't put it back last night after sweeping my bedroom carpet. So it was yet another treasure for Benjamin to play with today. He pulled and pulled on the attachment hose. The dresser in the background is one of the two that I painted this week. I'm really sick of painting furniture. And I'm glad not to have dresser drawers sitting in the middle of the living room anymore.

Benjamin saw that I had the camera to take a picture of him with the vacuum. He grabbed it before I had a chance to take the picture that I wanted, but I love his little grin.

Benjamin is certainly an intent child. He seems to study everything! Life is so perverse! When I see Benjamin tottering around, it seems to me that I walk this way too when I first get up in the morning! Love, Dad
