Yet another attempt to make the great escape. We rarely use this swing now - used to be mainly for naps, but now naps are strictly in the crib. (Aren't ya proud of us, Nana?) He seems pretty content in the swing, except for the fact that he can't stand to be lying flat in it and is constantly straining to sit up. It's a change of scenery for a few minutes, anyway.
Little angel. It's official: there's no controlling his fists of fury. No matter how well we wrap him in his swaddle (and Mike is the master) he can wiggle those fists up to his face. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for the wraps - he's getting too big & too strong for them (the larger size doesn't seem to work as well), and we'll need to stop using them eventually. He has also figured out how to roll onto his side while wrapped. The only way to do it without rolling all the way onto his tummy (and getting stuck there) is for him to wiggle his arm away from his side, like in this picture. That seems to be his new favorite sleeping position...it's really cute.
A story before bed. This photo shows the edge of the window curtains - this week I bought navy panels to go over the light ones already hanging, hoping to block out more light during the day to encourage him to nap longer. Could be wishful thinking, but I think it might be working.
Yet ANOTHER adorable picture of Mike & Ben. And somebody's got a vice grip on Daddy's thumb.
The nurse from Family Advocacy on base, who has been visiting once in a while some Benjamin's birth, stopped by today to check on his development. She says he's doing great and because of his communication skills predicts that he will be a social little guy. I told Mike on the phone and he responded sarcastically with, "You think?" Good to know since I'm kinda socially inept myself. She also predicts he's going to be an active little fellow once he gets crawling. To which I also respond, "You think?"

Hey Sarah!
You and Mike have quite the handsome little guy there.
The visiting nurse inspired me....If you would be interested in getting together to visit and chat, give me a call ! My schedule is pretty open. I could use some adult contact (teenagers are NOT adult, LOL!!)

Hi Sarah, It is always good to see a picture of you with Ben. You look great. Can't wait to see everyone in person. Love to all, Mom (Nana)
Hi, Sarah and Mike! The little man changes almost daily. It will be good to see you guy's in a few weeks. I think Benjamin is getting ready to come completely out of his swaddle whether you want him to or not. Love, Dad
