We went from Gram's house to Long Island to visit Mike's dad and his family, but I'll post pics of that later.

Summer Highlights
Okay, I should have said "highlights from our summer" so it doesn't sound like we all got our hair did. It's been a looong time since our last update, but we had a good excuse: NO INTERNET where we've lived for several weeks, and it's very difficult to get someplace with free Wi-Fi or the library (I certainly can't take Ben to the library for more than, oh, about three minutes without risking a meltdown). But we're in temporary base housing now (free internet, woohoo!) and we're not leaving for Germany for a few more days, so I'll try to post a handful of pictures from our adventures this summer.
I met up with my friend Katie from high school, who now has two adorable boys. Ben played pretty well (mostly) with her oldest son. Oops, I forgot to include the picture of all of us at Five Guys having lunch. I'll have to post that one later. I was hoping to meet up with several old friends from high school and college while we were in PA, but we only had so much time.
Nana chasing Ben around the house. Nana reported that her knees were black and blue for quite a while after this game.
Ben chowing down on his first corn on the cob.
Nana & Grandpap took us out for ice cream at The Jigger Shop. It took a lot of prodding, but Mike finally got Ben to try some ice cream sundae which he discovered was AWESOME.
We brought Ben in to visit Nana's childcare class. The kids are four years old, but all the girls totally mothered Ben. Here, he found the class computer. Guess he can't read yet.
We spent a day or two in Binghamton visiting Gram. She took us to a local park that had a really old carousel. Mike tried to get Ben to sit on one of the moving horses, but he freaked out before the ride even started. We ended up all sitting on a bench and having a grand time. He loved the lights, music, and other kids.
Gram got a kick out of watching Ben play on the playground just a few blocks from her house. Unfortunately, Ben is too much of a wiggleworm (and way too independent) to let Gram hold him like when he was a baby.
